Small business has been a part of my family for generations. I grew up surrounded by operators of franchises, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, law firms, and more. I have been inspired to pursue my own path in business and follow in my family’s footsteps.

After finishing my Mining Engineering degree from Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, I spent the first few years of my career as an engineer. I worked at gold mines in remote parts of the world - including the Russian Arctic and West African Desert. I learned engineering fundamentals, and also got my hands dirty by operating heavy equipment, turning wrenches in maintenance shops, and leading on-site production crews.

Following these incredible experiences, I transitioned to investment banking. I took my learnings from the field and aided major companies with corporate strategy while building my financial knowledge base. I then returned to Kinross Gold and worked as the Chief-of-Staff to the COO, where I took charge of special projects across global operations and provided technical diligence on M&A work. My career has granted me a strong operational, financial, and people-management background which I am eager to take to a small business.

Away from work, my partner Ivneet and I love to exercise, try new restaurants, and make ice cream. On a personal basis, I am someone who goes all-in on the things I’m passionate about—whether it’s being a pizza enthusiast, an active Movember fundraiser, or a dedicated marathon runner.
